Paper-machè

Jénee is the creator of brightly coloured paper-machè creatures. These unusual creatures are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill characters. They are light hearted, delightfully pure fun and make people smile and laugh. Jénee's paper-mache art displays a distinct sense of fun and originality rarely found. Every paper-mache sculpture, whatever size, is unique and individual.

Jénee originally started making her paper-mache craft in 1989. Initially her idea was to create little animals from recycled objects and things we throw away. The creative process began using bottles, newspapers, yoghurt cups and extended into seedpods (such as jacaranda), blue gum and eucalyptus seeds. shells, seaweed, feathers and other objects found in nature.
